September 24 – Get Ready for Planting. Topics include Location, Tools, Soil Structure, and Amending the Beds
October 1 – What to Grow and When to Grow it. Learn what cool weather crops can be grown in the fall. You’ll be surprised at the diversity.
October 8 – Container Gardening. Everything from arugula to zucchini can be grown in containers. Don’t let lack of space deter you. We will also discuss in-ground beds and raised beds.
October 15 – Seed Starting and Transplants. Start seeds in the ground or indoors in trays. Learn the proper method for transplanting herbs and plants from the nursery. Let’s get growing!
October 22 – Irrigation, Organic Fertilizers, and Mulching. Learn how to maintain your plants so they may thrive.
October 29 – Garden Pest Control. Learn the different methods to deal with pests, insects, and diseases. We call it Integrated Pest Management. It includes planning, barriers, traps, biological controls, and organic pesticides. Your plants will thank you.
